Swimming with the Whale Sharks – Oslob, Philippines
This was probably number one on the to do list for our visit to the Philippines (Who am I kidding, this was definitely on the very top of Shani’s list!). It was our first destination and we would have stayed longer but there are just so many incredible places to visit and our time was short. We swam at the conservation center where they are trying to educate the public and preserve the whale sharks by limiting the areas of interaction. The whale shark that was near us was a juvenile and already quite impressive. It’s slightly unsettling when they first appear out of the murky water with their massive mouth open headed in your direction!
