Photo of the Week – Spending Thanksgiving in Africa with the Turkeys!

I was on an overland trip in Africa on Thanksgiving and feeling a little bit homesick for the traditional meal my mom and grandmother always prepared.  I was dreaming of eating turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy, but figured there was no chance of that on the rural roads in Africa!  All of a sudden I saw turkeys cruising along the side of the road.  I had to get out and have my Thanksgiving picture taken!  And while I didn’t get to eat turkey that Thanksgiving it definitely made my day to get to see these fabulous birds!
