Bocas del Toro, Panama

I dream of cruising through the Caribbean in a little sailboat like the one in this photo.  Every evening the opportunity to see sunsets like this would be mind blowing!  I can just imagine sitting on the deck, Jimmy Buffet playing in the background, a nice glass of wine in your hand, and some freshly caught fish grilling on the BBQ.  The beauty of dreams like this?  No reason why it can’t be done!

This photo was taken from Carenero Island in the Bocas del Toro Archipelago.  Carenero apparently means careening in Spanish, but I would have bet money that it was from the word carne which means meat.  Take your bug spray with you to these islands or you will end up as insect meat!

Bocas del Toro can be reach via a short plane ride or a bit longer boat ride from either Panama or Costa Rica.
